OUR STORY
Goldfish Press was founded in Seattle by award-winning poet Koon Woon in 2006 as the publishing arm of the Chrysanthemum Literary Society, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization founded in 2003 also by Koon Woon. The mission of the Chrysanthemum Literary Society is to promote literature, education, and world peace.
We have published over two dozen titles of all genres, particularly poetry. Our books have won the Pen Oakland Josephine Miles Award for literary excellence and been favorably reviewed by the Harvard Graduate School. We have published authors who have won awards such as the American Book Award. We have published academics as well as grandmothers, but no matter who we publish, their works are unique and stunning.
We have published two Chrysanthemum Literary Anthologies featuring writers and poets of all persuasion. The only criterion is excellent writing.
We welcome manuscript queries through our submissions page.Thank you for your interest and hope to hear from you soon.
(Our website is still under construction and please stayed tuned.)
We are sponsoring a poetry contest, the Betty Irene Priebe Poetry Prize, either chapbook form or a full-length book that exemplify the late Ms. Priebe’s human warmth, kindness, and literary excellence. NO ENTRY FEE is required. Details coming soon.
